Ingredients:
¼ cup activated cashews *
2 frozen mango cheeks, chopped *
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup fresh orange juice
½ cup coconut water
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend for 60 seconds until smooth and creamy. Pour into glass and enjoy.
Serves 1
* By activating the cashews it mean that they have been soaked in water for 2-4 hours prior to them being used. I generally soak them overnight so that they are ready to go for my smoothie in the morning. The advantage of soaking the nuts means that it increases the nutritional value of the nut along with breaking down the problematic compounds that help enhance their digestibility.
* Mango cheeks refers to the 2 fleshy halves of the mango.
